The shipping container
I started this idea of a shipping container to be re-modeled as a lads pad, there are thousand of old used unused containers across the world in all countries in a set standard shape and size. Surely use them more, shanty towns, flats, bury them for bunkers ha make them look stylish! endless opportunities...heres my lad pad attempt for a while...glazed entrance to seating area, leading stairs to garden/deck/glazed roof, or split left to kitchen or right to toilet and shower then the glazed room of rest.
The stairs are the central core for all of the pads features!
The atrium...and thunderbirds?!
The Atrium! Glamorgan Uni......just tried to make the facade look like it! a little bit!
It definitely doesn't look like this!
Had a drunk chat about having a Thunderbirds themed club, so i took the concept and had a go....., moving water entrance tracey island style, TB 4 yellow, the bar is TB 1 the rocket thing ha! Just fun and practice, and got bored, hence it isn't finished!

experimenting! and more practise!
first ever attempts to design the perfect home...one day I WILL... somewhere in the heat!
My bedroom at my dads....ish?
But i did try a bit more detail......its all good practise!

Practise!
My dad has an external garage with the area of 9000x9000! And he wants to build, and i wanted to learn sketch up. It was good practice, learnt a bit about spacing... but in general this is a generic box house...and i would not let such a thing be built. This summer I will design him a house though (or as much as i can)... It will keep me sharp for the return of uni!and kill boredom that occurs over the summer!

Sketch up!
Google sketch up is amazing! After getting back from a long stint of travels, Cardiff was not meeting my needs in life....I needed a hobby...a productive one, so i taught myself Sketch up in the summer of 2010. Its probably one of the best (productive) moves in life I have ever done;because then in september and university I already understood what Auto CAD might work like, or how general 3D drawing on computers can mess you around. I picked up CAD easy...and put it down to sketch up. I dont use it as much anymore, but its good fun!
